Basic Weightloss - How to Beat Food Cravings

All people experience food yearnings. And what exactly is a yearning? Well a craving is a terrible desire for a particular kind of food, usually to satisfy one's palate, not simply to please appetite. You might find your daily or weekly craving is felt for sweet sweets like candy, or chocolate. For others it might be a craving for fatty potato chips or an extra glass of beer.

But, don't fret. The occasional craving is not a problem, in fact, sometimes it is actually a favorable experience. Later, when you have been great with your eating routines you can indulge your cravings, satisfying those needs or desires as a benefit for all of your hard work. The technique lies in not allowing yourself to become constantly overwhelmed by your yearnings and give up too often.

What lies at the heart of your cravings? You might think that your bad habits are accountable for this yearning, or that you have extremely little will power. Although, these may be partially at fault, this does not inform the whole story. Food cravings are also biologically based. In order to beat the food yearning we need to understand these underlying factors.

Your Factors For Craving Food

Blood Sugar & Serotonin

If you are exhausted or feel depressed your body's natural reason for this is low levels of blood glucose. In reaction your brain signals that it needs something to raise your blood sugar level levels. This really natural pattern is at the base of your craving for sugar or carbs. Additionally, another chain reaction that causes your cravings includes Serotonin, our bodies' feel-good hormone. When your body has a low level of Serotonin it attempts to compensate by forcing you to ingest sugar or carbohydrates to raise blood sugar level and Serotonin levels.

But carbohydrates (such as sugar) just release a short burst of serotonin, rapidly fading after being ingested and digested; when Serotonin levels and blood sugar levels fall back down, the craving returns.

But, there is another significant reason why beating your yearnings is so difficult (and why they appear in the first place)!

Adrenal Fatigue

If you are stressed out, not got a restful night sleep, or are just plain tired for no particular reason check here you are more than likely suffering from adrenal fatigue.

Adrenal Tiredness, similar to the procedure detailed above, includes your body sending a signal to the brain for a pick-me-up which is your craving for sugar or carbohydrate snacks, or might be, coffee during the day; during the night you may search for alcohol or carbs. All of this only makes the issue worse.

Beating the craving

If you appreciate the fundamental factors for the yearning, then beating the food yearning can be done. It might take a little time but it can be done. To break food yearnings, the body requires healthy foods, extra dietary supplements at times; this and moderate workout can help suppress yearnings. This process may spend some time, but you will prosper.
